treeoflife-small

I finally completed my Tree of Life print, which has taken me a year of off and on work to complete. Following up from my last post on this project, it turns out that I fixed my spacing and sizing issues when I actually started drawing the thing, because as I mentioned before, I had a lot of information to cram into the tree. Isn’t it the worst when you’re stuck on a project and then the solution ends up being really simple?

Since the final piece was supposed to be silkscreened, I had to consider certain technical aspects, like the maximum size I can print with my screens. I had to make the separations by hand instead of digitally because of the large size. I also decided to draw with a brush and write the type myself so the lines would be thick enough to print well.
