This is my first site that is a wordpress blog. All of my past sites were static pages which I coded myself using HTML and CSS. This site also uses a design I created myself, and I kept it simple because I anticipated being a bit overwhelmed with WordPress. All the files on the server are php, and I never fully learned php, partly because I got very confused on setting up my computer to be a server.
Because I need a server to properly view and test the pages, all my little site tweaks are live….which is problematic when I mess up. Also I don’t have my newsletter or my shop ready yet, despite the appearance of the signup box and “add to cart” buttons. I’ll be learning these things as I go along. I hope to be far enough along by October, as I mentioned in my first post.
