Man vs. wild foldout poster

This piece is inspired from a piece I have created by Tomi Um, an illustrator I met at SVA a couple of years ago. I really like the concept behind the piece, that as you unfold it a new image reveals itself furthering the story. So this is my piece in response to that. Also, I wanted to try drawing something “grittier” as a change of pace, so it’s only two colors black and silver, and it’s about a boxing match between a man and kangaroo.
I had fun drawing the boxer getting punched in the face, since the face looks more “plastic” than in normal circumstances. I’d like to draw more fighting stuff in the future.
