I thought I should do a post about some of the projects I’m doing this summer. First and foremost I am printing a second edition of three of my titles. They’re not going to be large editions, in fact I’ve come to the conclusion that 30 really is the maximum of prints I can do in one run. Also, paper costs money, so I can’t afford to print a lot of copies.

Second, I am currently doing research for the follow-up to “The Cambrian” : “The Ordovician and Silurian”. I decided to lump these two eras into one book because the animals are pretty similar (they both have “giant squids” and “giant scorpions”) and there is a bit of overlap on the significant milestones that happen in these two periods…to put it vaguely.
On the same vein as these prehistoric book, I’m doing a “tree of life” poster. I’m at the research phase of that project, debating how in-depth I want the tree to be. Visually, I’ve got no idea how it’s going to look like (well, a tree obviously, but I don’t know how stylized I want it to be).

Lastly, I am taking a comics class at SVA so that I have the motivation to finish “Alien Encounters”. I think part of the reason I find it so hard to sit down and work on that comic is that I literally have twenty project ideas floating in my head, so I get distracted. I sometimes wonder how certain comic book creators can work for years on the same title, whereas I get restless working on the same thing for too long.
