My new project, which I hope to finish by October (doesn’t seem likely at this point, but maybe I can pull a miracle) is a flipbook. I’ve always wanted to do animation, but never studied it in depth. I’ve done about three very short hand drawn animations before, but this is the first one where I’ll be doing an actual storyline and animating without any movie reference material. Also this is my first flipbook. So lots of firsts with this projects and I have a faint idea of what I’m supposed to do.
I drew a sequence last week, and I made a movie clip on After Effects to check if I was on the right track. Animation is tricky for me because in every single drawing, the character needs to look on model and remain the same size (my biggest problem so far is that my drawings become progressively smaller).
