I discovered these videos on youtube. Apparently, “Tac au tac” is an old french tv show featuring famous European comic book artists. Most of the artists draw with a marker, skipping the sketching stage…something I’m not able to do at my current level. Anyway, the show is in french, but I don’t think it’s necessary to know French to enjoy it.
In this video, they’re drawing a long line of characters chasing each other. All the artists here draw humourous comics for children.
This one has Neal Adams, Joe Kubert, and Jean Giraud
The interesting thing here is that the three artists do not speak the same language and must collaborate to draw a short story. The lack of common language makes it that there’s two ends to the story, but otherwise it works pretty well.
Here they must take turns drawing a story for which they’ve already added sound effects
